Perfect
I like the paddle‘s ability to deliver punchy volleys and strong returns with compact swings. The foam?filled core helps reduce harsh vibrations so powerful shots still feel solid rather than harsh. I also like the paddle's performance on drop?spin backhands and shaping shots. It felt more forgiving than many edgeless models, with a “bigger than expected” sweet spot. The weight feels “clunky” especially for players who prefer lighter paddles, but I prefer the heavier paddles.
I think this paddle is best suited for intermediate to advanced players who favor punchy shots, spin, and like to mix aggressive baseline play with net play.
I used the paddle for the first time today. Overall for fast and spin game: it has worked very well.
It comes with a paddle, nice cover, wristband and replacement grip, all packed in a good looking box.
Some notes on what I have found:
1) It has good power compared to the paddles I have played with before. At this stage I hit several balls long, still adjusting, but it has awesome pop and speed
2) Light weight at first when I picked up the paddle, I was not certain if this was the one, till I played first game- excellent feel, no jarring at all, great feel
3) Paddle has good texture on surface, really helped with the spin. First game I did not try the spin as much, but few practice serves I can already see it will be formidable in my game
4) The pace of the paddle is much more than I am used to, it will take a minute to get the control going
5) it is a pricy paddle at normal price, I got a deal during Black Friday, so I got and and so far it has not disappointed.
Overall, this paddle plays as well as any high end paddle I have used, if you can get past brand names, I feel this will be a good paddle for advanced players, for fast pace and spin game. I will comment on control after I have played more games.
I don't have a two-handed backhand for pickleball (though I do in tennis)....but, this long handled paddle and grip is fun to work with regardless. I am truly finding it easier to practice spins and drop shots with this paddle versus my others.
I think this design is worth the splurge.
