This new Phoenix Pickleball Paddle from Warping Point feels great in my hand. It has a slightly larger and more rounded handle design that's more comfortable for me to hold compared to my old paddle and the handle is about 1" longer than my old paddle so it makes two handed returns much easier and allows me to get more power behind my returns.
The paddle feels like it has a much larger sweet spot than my old paddle and the only dead areas seem to be right at the very edge. It has a 16mm honeycomb core that's comprised of Polypropylene Honeycomb, TPE Foam and a EFC cushioning material, along with a raw T700 carbon fiber face so it provides an excellent balance between power and ball control. The Endura Friction surface is very grippy and allows for incredible spin control so I can make the ball drop faster with improved accuracy.
It comes with a nice neoprene cover to protect the paddle face as well as a spare roll of grip tape, but the price point is quite steep for the casual player. If you're a competitive player, you'll really appreciate the improved power and ball control this paddle provides.
I have recently started playing pickleball, and I am currently using a very inexpensive beginner's paddle. I wanted to make sure that this is something I wanted to continue to do before I got a more expensive paddle. It was now time to get a better paddle since I really enjoy this new sport.
I came across this professional paddle by Warping Point, which was co-designed by Tina Pisnik. Tina Pisnik is a former professional tennis player and is currently a touring professional pickleball player.
At first, I was a little concerned whether this would be too much for the level of pickleball I am playing. After some thought, I decided that getting a good pickle paddle would save me from having to upgrade again in the future and would last me a lifetime.
This pickleball paddle arrived very nicely packaged in a beautiful box. It comes with a case as well as extra grip tape if needed. It is definitely packed like a very high-end piece of equipment.
The first thing that I noticed about the paddle is how light it is and how ergonomic the handle is. It feels great to hold.
So does using a much better paddle make a difference when I played? It definitely does.
I definitely noticed how much more power seemed to go into my hits. This is because of the honeycomb structure inside the paddle.
The other difference that I noticed is how much easier it is to make the ball spin. The texture on the surface of the paddle makes it much easier to spin the ball, giving you a much more competitive game.
It did take me a little bit of time to adjust after having used a much cheaper paddle for so long. After just a few minutes, though, I totally adjusted and felt very comfortable using this new paddle.
I am very happy that I got a high-end Pickleball Paddle. This paddle is one that I will never have to upgrade and should last me a lifetime.
Others that I play pickleball with have asked to try my paddle, and every person is very impressed with the power and control that you get with this paddle.
If you are serious about playing pickleball and want a paddle that will improve your game, then I definitely recommend this paddle.
I recently purchased the Warping Point Tina Pisnik Phoenix pickleball paddle, and while I haven’t had the chance to play with it yet, my first impressions are extremely positive based on the design, materials, and overall build quality.
Right out of the box, the paddle feels well-balanced and solid in hand. The raw T700 carbon fiber face has a high-quality, textured finish that looks like it will deliver excellent spin and ball control once I get it on the court. The construction feels premium, and the paddle doesn‘t feel flimsy or hollow at all.
The PowerDrive system and honeycomb core give the paddle a sturdy, stable feel, even just handling it. The unibody edge construction adds to that confidence and makes it feel like a serious piece of equipment designed for competitive play. I also appreciate that it‘s UPA-A approved, so it’s ready for tournament use.
The limited-edition packaging and Tina Pisnik story card are a really nice touch and make this paddle stand out from others. It feels thoughtfully designed, not just in performance but in presentation as well.
Although I can’t yet comment on on-court performance, the quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail make me genuinely excited to try it out. Based on first impressions alone, this paddle looks like an excellent option for players looking for a premium, competition-ready pickleball paddle.
I'm a beginner at pickleball, so I don't know all the technical detail, but this paddle has good power without feeling hard to control. Plus, it feels stable and comfortable in hand.
Even as someone new to the game, I noticed that shots feel smooth and consistent, and it gives confidence when hitting the ball. You can tell it's a high-quality paddle, but it's not intimidating for someone just starting out.
This pickleball paddle looks and feels very well made. It feels very balanced and allows for great control while playing. The grip is soft and comfortable allowing you to hold the paddle firmly when needed but also lets you adjust your grip a bit during play. I prefer the grip on this paddle compared to others I’ve used since it is slightly thicker and feels much better when holding it. The paddle face itself is also designed very nicely. The edging around the paddle is slightly raised which not only protects the paddle face but also helps keep the ball in play in case you hit it at the edge of the paddle.
The paddle comes with a nice, cushioned carry pouch keeping it safe during transporting. It also comes with an extra roll of grip tape.
Overall, this paddle has been very well designed. The little extra touches provided on the grip and edging, along with the great balanced feel make this paddle my current go-to paddle for my pickleball games. The price is on the high side, but based on the well-thought-out design points, it is worth it.

I am coming from a tennis background. I have a lot of experience and skill with spin control shots. I don't want to say i have a talent for spin but i do have excellent touch precision. I can see that i am getting the best spin from this paddle over all my pickle ball rackets.
The weight and grip feels very good and this important for me to have confidence in going for winning shots. If i feel inconsistency in the paddle then my winning shot ratio suffers.
The claim is that the build quality will allow for 1000 to 2000 more shots out of the paddle sounds good to me. Only time will tell.
Overall i am getting great shots from this paddle.

The Warping Point Phoenix paddle feels comfortable and well balanced right away, with the balance point slightly weighted toward the handle. That gives it a controlled, easy-to-manage feel in hand, especially during quick exchanges and resets. The grip itself works fine, though I personally prefer something a little cushier with ventilation holes. That is an easy fix with overgrip tape and does not take away from the overall experience. I also like that it comes with a paddle cover, which is something I actually use and appreciate having included.
Compared to my main paddle, which is also from Warping Point, this one plays a bit hotter. The standout feature is definitely the pop. It shows up most on serves and putaways, adding pace without needing a bigger swing. The acoustics are also nice, with clear, satisfying audio feedback on contact, though it is probably not the best paddle for quiet hours. Because of the extra pop, you do need a softer touch around the kitchen, especially on dinks, but once you adjust it feels consistent and predictable. Balance, spin, power, and control all work well together, and nothing feels out of sync during play.
Overall, this paddle delivers a lively, confident feel with extra power while still keeping control where it matters.
I got this paddle in the Red color, 16MM thickness. I'm usually reluctant to change pickleball paddles because I am a serious (recreational) player and don't like that awkward break-in period where your game suffers while you are trying to get used to a new paddle. I've been using a Selkirk Halo Control paddle for years. I have a Hesacore grip on it with medium-tack wrap, and it has served me very well. This was already after trial-and-error with several other paddles that didn't quite work for me. Usually when I try a new paddle, I play terribly with it for days as I get used to its feel and performance.So, it was with that same apprehension that I decided to try this new Warping Point Tina Pisnik paddle.Well, wow! did I play well with this new paddle. Just a slight bit of awkwardness getting used to the extra power it provides, but otherwise very controllable and well-balanced. My serves are faster and more consistently where I want them to be, the speed is impressive, and the extra power gives me an edge over my Halo without being too much and struggling to control it.It helps that this paddle is similar to my Halo, but there are some differences. First, the Pisnik is slightly longer and slightly less wide. Second, the handle is longer. Also, I tried it with the stock grip, not the thicker Hesacore that I am used to. As you can see from the pictures I am including, the declared paddle weight is "7.8-8.1" ounces and this one weighed in (on my food scale) at exactly 8.1 ounces, which is within 0.1 oz of my Halo paddle.The Pisnik is built with what they call a "Powerflex Compound" that purportedly offers the control of a thicker (16MM) paddle with extra power that you would find in thinner paddles. I have found it to be an exceptionally good balance between the control I am accustomed to with my Halo but also with noticeably extra (but not too much) power that helps with speeding up the ball while hitting your target area.My first outing with it was a 3-hour almost continuous session and the paddle performed superbly. I was very happy with my game, which is unheard of for my first use of a new paddle. Needless to say, this is now the #1 paddle in my bag and I will continue to use it and learn its idiosyncrasies as I work to improve my game.And, as a male, no, I have no qualms whatsoever about having a girl's name on my paddle. Research Tina Pisnik (and see the text in the photos I uploaded) and you will see how inspirational her story is. I'm very happy with this paddle and at the listed price ($219.99 at the time of this review) I think it's an exceptional value. It comes in a very nice box suitable for gifting and also includes some extra grip wraps, which is a nice touch.
I've reviewed several Warping Point paddles over the past few years and this paddle, endorsed by Tina Pisnik, is in the top two. I believe this is the 2nd pro to endorse their product and this paddle is from the "Phoenix" line of paddles. For tech stuff it's a PP and foam core with T700 carbon face. Warping Point claims that it's able to deliver around 2k more hits before the core starts to show signs of wear (and, if you think about it, 2k hits is not a lot over the course of a few days playing). It's USPA and UPA-A approved for all tournament play, 5 1/2 handle, 16 1/2 inch height, and just shy of 7.5 inch width. The sweet spot ranges from around 2 inches below the top of the paddle to just about the same above the handle. Side to side there's about 1/2 inch of dead area around the paddle's edge. It has a full wrap-around edge guard (I much prefer their edge to edge paddles, although they can take a beating from diggers). 16mm thickness offers a very solid, low end pop when striking the ball. Very good spin ability from the T700 CF face. The graphics on the paddle are very good looking (too bad they didn't improve my gameplay). It's a sharp looking paddle all the way around. As always, Warping Point does not skimp on the extras. Extra handle tape and a neoprene paddle cover w/ carrying strap. They take good care of you so you can take good care of your paddle.
Warping Point is known for its leading edge paddle designs. Their Phoenix paddle combines honeycomb core, TPE foam, and a comfortable handle to produce a paddle for those in the high end of the DUPR scale. This paddle has nice graphics, meaningful surface grit and weighs in at 8.1 oz. The head shape, edge guard, and handle are traditional design. But Warping Point always gives you a little more and you see this in the graphics on the edge guard.To be honest, this is the first paddle I have tested that improved my game right out of the bag. My fellow players accused me of serenading the moon rocks in the pool at the local Y. Not true. But the Phoenix paddle ‘sings’ in my hands unlike my other paddles.I have seen videos where fire breathing flat belly pickle ball headhunters bashes the ball way harder than needed. They claim a paddle in their core crushing hands can last only 6 games. I have no reason to doubt this. The Phoenix is designed tougher to be able to hang with this crowd. How Warping Point does this and still delivers an 8.1 oz. paddle is amazing.Pickle ball pro Tina Pisnik collaborated in the development of this paddle. Her words on the insert in which she expressed gratitude she gets in the sale of her paddle is an emotional motif we don‘t see every day in sports sponsorship. This aspect and all the extremely good playability make these paddles a worthy buy.The price for the Phoenix is high. I think it is due to the tariffs imposed on China based products. Going forward, I don’t this phenomenon will abate. If we want good paddles from Warping Point or others, we must pay up for it.Paddles in 2025 are all carbon fiber and are seeing foam used to seal some of the polypropylene honeycomb core. Warping Point‘s implementation of this is called PowerDrive System. Marketing words are meaningless to me. I know this technology allows me to get more out of the paddle. And that is all that counts.The Phoenix paddle comes in a cardboard box with an overgrip and a cover. My box was damaged but the contents were OK. Given the quality of the product and the more than decent box, this product is giftable.Top rating.
Paddle is very responsive to all shots. Not too hot for drives and. It too soft for kitchen play. Hard to believe it’s a Gen3 paddle.
