Pickleball continues to grow across the country, but access to the game still varies widely, especially for younger players. That’s why we recently collaborated with Lynwood Community Service to support a new local event: Pickleball for Youth.

The event took place at Lynwood Community Service, located at 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, CA. was focused on one clear goal, helping more teenagers in the area get on the court, try the sport, and stay involved.

Warping Point, known for its performance-focused paddle designs built with aerospace and military-grade materials, sees innovation as only part of its mission. Expanding the sport, and giving more people a chance to play, is just as important.

“We can’t just focus on the pro game or elite players,” says a representative from our side. “If we want pickleball to keep growing, we have to make sure it’s reaching new communities, younger players, and people who’ve never had easy access to the game.”

The Pickleball for Youth event was built to do exactly that. With equipment, coaching, and court time provided through Lynwood Community Service, the program removed common barriers for teenagers who may not have had the opportunity to play otherwise.

Warping Point’s involvement wasn’t just about donating paddles, it was about supporting sustainable access. The company saw early exposure to pickleball as a way to build long-term connection to the sport.

We believed that once the teens tried it, the combination of fast-paced rallies, simple rules, and quick improvement would make them want to come back.

And for communities like Lynwood, where recreational programming may be underfunded or overlooked, this kind of support matters. Every paddle, every net, and every well-run event creates more chances for new players to enter the game.

Our team understands that performance innovation and accessibility go hand in hand. The same technology that makes their paddles effective at a competitive level also makes them easier to handle and learn with, especially for beginners.

That matters when you’re introducing pickleball to teens who’ve never played before. The right equipment can help build confidence, reduce frustration, and make the first-time experience more enjoyable. The goal of Pickleball for Youth was not to scout talent or build elite athletes. It was to spark interest. If that event leads to regular play, whether in a league, at open gyms, or just with friends, then the program has done its job.

For us, this was one of many planned efforts to support grassroots pickleball. As the sport grows, the company wants to stay directly involved in helping more people access it, not just by building better paddles, but by helping expand the game’s reach.

“Pickleball is growing fast,” says the company spokesperson. “We want to make sure it’s growing in the right direction, with new players, new places, and long-term support behind it.”

Pickleball for Youth was a step in that direction, and one Warping Point was proud to support.
